DESCRIPTION The Stub Egg is designed for knee high to overhead waves in all conditions from marginal to critical. Stub Eggs are designed the same length as a surfer's every day performance shortboard with a full nose, extra width, and extra thickness. The extra surface area and volume offer paddling mobility and easy entry. Stub Eggs offers the performance features of the Speed Egg and Rocket Egg - trim, planning speed, and carve - combined with the performance of contemporary shortboards. The design is ideal for surfers who want more surface area and volume in a board the same length as their go to shortboard. DESIGN FEATURES ROCKER Speed Box, Low Continuous, or Relaxed. PROFILE & FOIL Moderate foil with notable volume. OUTLINE Round Pin. BOTTOM CONTOURS Primary option is tri plane entry to tri plane wide point to panel vee wide point to tail or optional spiral vee fins to tail for more sensitive and lively performance. An excellent performance option is classic shortboard contours featuring shallow vee entry to single concave at wide point to single or double concave wide point to tail. RAILS Foiled full crowned rail profile for control for bigger surfers. Moderately thinner crowned rail profile for smaller surfers. |

Center plane of tri plane features shallow 1/32" concave creating notable lift and speed for forward trim and paddling into waves. The rolled panel vee wide point to tail offers excellent rail to rail transitions. The tri plane entry and wide point to rolled panel vee widepoint to tail is the optimum convex bottom. It offers excellent rail to rail transitions and acceleration on rail as if surfing on a nearly frictionless ball bearing. Crowned deck and crowned rail profile maintains control and stability and tri plane entry and wide point to panel vee provides exceptional user friendly performance. |

VEE to SINGLE to DOUBLE CONCAVE bottom with moderately crowned deck and rails. Single to double concave provides acceleration, projection, speed, and maneuverability. Water flows from the rail to the peak of the double concave at the stringer creating additional lift in the center of the board. The spine of the double concave offers directional stability through turns. Crowned rail profile maintains control and stability. This Stub Egg features a classic performance shortboard bottom. |
