DESCRIPTION The Peregrine Egg is a progressive member of the Mid Length Egg Class. It's a creative and unique design incorporating shortboard design features and egg design features into an incredibly versatile design. The Peregrine Egg is designed to perform in knee high to well overhead surf in a range of conditions from mellow to critical waves. It offers the widest range of performance features of the Natural Curves egg designs. The design paddles great, has mobility in the line up, and catches waves with ease. It exceeds all expectations for carving and trimming in an extremely wide range of conditions. The Peregrine Egg is the Formula 1 of mid length designs. The entry to wide point of the Peregrine Egg is based on shortboard design features. The entry rocker is well relaxed shortboard rocker. The outline from nose to wide point is based on shortboard outlines. The wide point to tail of the design is based on egg design features. The tail rocker is based on Speed Egg rocker. The bottom contours are convex nose to tail. Entry to wide point features a tri plane with an extremely shallow concave in the center plane. Wide point to tail features a rolled panel vee with spiral vee from the fins to the tail. The rails are low and crowned to engage the board in the face of waves with sensitivity and control. Fin options are 2 + 1, thruster, quad, and twin fin. The Peregrine Egg is incredibly easy to ride. It is a versatile and rewarding design. The design excels in beach breaks, reef breaks, and point breaks in marginal to perfect conditions. It offers exceptional performance for surfers from novice to expert. Center plane of tri plane features shallow 1/32" concave creating notable lift and speed for forward trim and paddling into waves. The panel vee wide point to tail offers excellent rail to rail transitions. The tri plane entry and wide point to panel vee widepoint to tail is the optimum convex bottom. It offers excellent rail to rail transitions and acceleration on rail as if surfing on a nearly frictionless ball bearing. Crowned deck and crowned rail profile maintains control and stability and tri plane entry and wide point to panel vee provides exceptional user friendly performance. |

Dimensions are guidelines and may vary based on surfer, venues, and conditions. Of note, for most surfers the Peregrine Egg performs best when 6' 8" or longer in length. Shorter versions can lose some of their gliding and trimming features and thus are more of a high volume shortboard. And that's a perfectly functional design as well. |
